Universal Studios Singapore (USS), the first in Asia, is a mega theme park boasting 24 attractions in 7 themed zones. USS plans to add one new attractions within the next 3 years for the theme park to "fresh" experience for all visitors. In fact, a whopping 18 attractions are original or specially adapted for USS! Visitors can thus look forward to a different experience from the famed Universal Studios Hollywood. In addition to all the rides and shows, there are a good 30 restaurants and 20 unique retail outlets! You'll be able to purchase all your favourite Universal Studios related merchandise and have hearty meals while scurrying around and queuing for rides!

A 3D special effects ride, Transformers, based on the popular Hollywood movie, is set to premiere as the 25th attraction in USS in 2011. This attraction will subsequently replace the Backdraft ride in Universal Studios Hollywood.

Not only is USS the first of its kind to open in Asia, many of the attractions are premiering for the first time in this theme park, including the famed colliding roller-coasters that is the Battlestar Galactica ride! Visitors who have been to the Hollywood edition of Universal Studios will be familiar with the Jurassic Park River Adventure. Here at USS, this ride has been modified into a river rapids adventure where riders will be tossed around on the water circuit culminating in a huge plunge at the end.

Unique themed zone characters and celebrity look-alikes will add to the lively and bustling atmosphere. For families, this is a great opportunity for the kids to have a memorable photo taken with the Frankensteins and and mummies!
