The Hotel 81 Palace is between Kallang and Aljunied MRT stations just outside of the city centre. It is about a 10-minute walk to Aljunied MRT station, and then a short train ride to most attractions in Singapore. Be prepared to buy an Ez-link card to take a bus into the city as it may be more convenient. It is also located in the red light district of Singapore. Although security is not a concern, females may find the situation unpleasant. The area is also known for its cheap eateries, so guests will have no problems filling their stomachs.

The Hotel 81 Palace is part of the Hotel 81 hotel chain, and although the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable. The amenities are also decent for a budget hotel. It is also cheap to take a taxi into the city. This hotel offers value for money.
