As the name suggests, the premises were built in 1929 and it was originally a trading house its current life as a hotel in 2002. Although not as cheap as Le Peranakan Hotel, Hotel 1929 offers 4-star room amenities to guests. There is no swimming pool at Hotel 1929 given the space constraints but a rooftop Jacuzzi may serve as some form of compensation.
