The Keong Saik Hotel, located in Chinatown, is themed as a charming throwback to an older era, but with modern conveniences. Although the rooms may seem somewhat spartan as the amenities are of a budget standard, the small cozy setting (only 25 rooms) amidst a quaint neighbourhood along with great hospitality should be enough to guarantee you a great stay. The good-looking Chinese décor does not hurt either.
This is the place to stay to explore the ethnic diversity of Singapore as Little India is nearby and Kampong Glam (the Malay district in older days) is not too far away. As the hotel is within walking distance of Outram Park MRT, visitors will be able to explore other areas of Singapore affordably.
Although dining options at the hotel is practically non-existent, the variety of local food that can be in the area of the hotel will make your trip to Singapore more meaningful. The local food is definitely more affordable than a typical buffet at hotel restaurants.
